High School English Literature combines skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and is designed to help students explore the many facets of English Literature. The course takes the approach of using differentiated instruction to meet the needs of the students and provide for remediation.

The literature study focuses on the broad spectrum of elements which comprise literature (e.g. novels, poetry, periodicals, plays, brochures, etc.).
In this course, students will use some of the skills they acquire in English and Language Arts Lab.

Other course work includes vocabulary, the Hero’s Journey, and student-produced newspapers.
